On a recent trip to Nanton, I was finally able to visit Mid-Century Antiques. They’re open weekends and then by chance during the week which is why I haven’t been able to stop in before.
The store has two floors and is full of wonderful mid-century modern pieces plus lots of other vintage finds.
Check out these fabulous lamps
A wonderful collection of cocktail shakers
I think chip and dip bowls are making a comeback
Colourful glassware lines the walls
Eames airport benches proudly sit in the front window
There is an amazing amount of SPARA West German pottery in the store. The owner purchased stock when a factory closed and the second floor is full of racks. I see a lot of West German pottery popping up on Instagram, blog posts, etc. and this is certainly a store to visit for a collector.
I will definitely make sure I time my next visit to Nanton when Mid-Century Antiques is open. It’s such a great town full of so many antique shops. You can see my previous posts on Lost Ark Antiques and Sentimental Journey.
